Yoram Chaiter was born in Ukraine (former Soviet Union). He began his musical education by studying the piano. He immigrated to Israel in 1973. Among the roles he performed are Colline in La Boheme by Puccini, excerpts from Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky and Escamillo in Carmen by Bizet. Appeared in Macbeth by Bloch during the Bloch Festival at the Technion. Performed the role of Cardinal de Borgni in La Juive by Halevy; Commendatore in Mozart's Don Giovanni; Dr. Dulcamara in L'Elisir D'Amore. Concert repertoire includes Rossini, Haydn, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Dvorak, Tchajkovsky, Wolf, Junger and others. His extra- musical activities include a degree of Doctor of Medicine and practice as physician. He is actively engaged in cancer research. |
