BRAHMS Sonata for Two Pianos, Op. 34b (1864); Variations on a theme by Haydn, Op. 56b (1873) The Friedland-Zak Duo: Irena Friedland & Jonathan Zak, pianos The Friedland-Zak duo was initiated in 1993 and has since performed often in Israel in many concerts and festivals. They appeared as duo with the Jerusalem Symphony and the Israel Chamber Orchestra, playing the Mendelssohn Concerto in E major. In 2003 they participated in the first international piano duo festival, performing the Mozart Concerto for 2 Pianos with the Israel Chamber Orchestra. They were invited for a repeat performance at the Eilat Music Days in 2005, together with Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals.” The Duo has also performed successfully in France and Germany. |
